Join CCA for California Coastal Cleanup Day on Saturday, September 19th!
Notes:
Volunteers under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
- RETURNING? There's no need to re-register here on Eventbrite.
- WAIVER: Please sign our online liability waiver before the event. You'll only need to sign this once per year, and it's good for all CCA volunteer events for the year!
All minors must have a parent or guardian sign their waiver on their behalf. - WEATHER permitting: We cancel for rain but maintain our scheduled cleanup in post-storm conditions. Please come prepared for the hazards of increased pollution and toxicity after a recent storm.
- BATHROOMS: Our cleanup site, at the mouth of the Santa Ana River, was chosen strategically to focus on cleaning the concentrated trash in this area. The closest restroom is about a six minute walk or 0.3 miles away.
- No pets allowed. We truly love pets! Unfortunately, due to permit and insurance requirements, we’re unable to allow pets at this event. Thank you so much for understanding.
- A special thank you to Neat Coffee for donating coffee to our beach cleanup volunteers.
- Questions or issues? Call or text (949) 524-9407, or email Events@CoastalCorridor.org.
The Coastal Corridor Alliance (CCA) is taking the Santa Ana River Coastal Corridor (the tidal influence zone) under our wing to help clean it up and restore its habitats. Join us!
Tower 74 at the Santa Ana River Mouth
You and your community/family are invited to join the Alliance at Tower 74 in Newport Beach!
We begin at 9 am with a quick huddle to answer some questions and discuss the importance of our waterways, habitats, and fighting pollution.
The Santa Ana River watershed is the largest in Southern CA. It drains the water and waste of over 6 million people across three counties right to our cleanup site. Cleaning up our beach and river helps our local animal friends to survive, including endangered shorebirds such as California Least Tern and Western Snowy Plover.
