Back to Flamenco ft. Mario Ruiz - Class, Show & Jam

Overview

Every September, we go Back to Flamenco! This year ft. impressive dancer Mario Ruiz for an unforgettable social dance class, show & jam!

As tradition demands, in this year's Back to Flamenco, we are bringing an unforgettable guest to join some of London’s finest local artists… dancer Mario Ruiz is in the house!

We have been following Mario for years. Fierce, unmistakable and definitely one of the new icons of flamenco dance. And finally, he is flying to London for an event you won’t forget!

And you know how we get to keep bringing artists like this to London, while keeping tickets accessible and paying everyone properly? Because of you. If you’ve got an extra £7 to throw into the pot, choose a Supporter Ticket. Think of it as a little investment in more artists, more flamenco and more nights like this.

This is how your night will go…

18:00–19:30 — SOCIAL DANCE CLASS

Mario is definitely the king of tangos, and he is bringing all that joy to you.

No flamenco shoes needed. No experience needed. Everyone is welcome!

Expect old-school moves, plenty of groove and, most importantly, the weight and attitude you need to dance por tangos at any flamenco party. You will leave with your very own pataíta (little dance) ready to go!

Already experienced? Come anyway — we promise you haven’t learnt tangos quite like this.

With live music from Bryan Reyes (guitar) and Laura González (voice).

20:15–21:30 — THE SHOW

Witness Mario’s magic on stage: flamenco from the roots, fierce, raw and full of character.

Joining him is incredible London talent: Mónica García (voice), Adrián Solá (guitar) and Agoney Hernández (percussion).

1-hour show + 15-minute interval.

21:30–00:30 — JAM & JUERGA!

After the show, as always, the floor is open!

Musicians can play alongside the artists you have just seen on stage, dancers can try out their new pataíta, singers can jump in… and everyone else can simply enjoy the beautiful chaos.

A little warning for the planners among you: the juerga starts when it starts. It is completely improvised. No programme, no running order, no pressure.

Hang out, listen, play, sing, dance and join when the moment feels right.

All styles and levels are welcome.

If you know the drill, you already know you need to come.

And if you are new to all this… you have been missing out on one of London’s most exciting underground communities. Consider this your invitation to join us, meet wonderful people and witness some incredible artists.
