The mission of the Bailey Learning and Arts Collective, Inc. is to help build knowledgeable, socially responsible communities and leaders utilizing a grassroots ideology, low and no-cost activities and arts promotion and instruction. Our goals are to offer events that promote individual and community activism and empowerment, to provide organizing expertise to individuals and organizations for community outreach efforts and to promote cultural, visual, and folk-art education through conferences, workshops, and community celebrations.

Creating to Heal, Grow and Soar

These creative events assist participants in identifying and addressing issues that create stagnation, fear, disappointment, and anxiety through low and no-cost writing, visual art, and storytelling workshops and events.

Once you hear yourself, you have to honor what you hear.This month’s Writing to Heal workshop centers boundaries—not as punishment, rejection, or a reason to cut everybody off, but as an act of self-respect.Many women have learned to keep the peace by overriding their own needs. We say yes before checking our capacity. We explain our no until it disappears. We carry other people’s emotions, make ourselves endlessly available, and then wonder why we feel resentful, exhausted, or disconnected from ourselves.During this guided 60–75 minute experience, Terri Bailey will lead participants through reflective writing, grounding, practical boundary language, and a personal protection plan. Together, we will explore what it means to protect the woman you are becoming.<h3>What We Will Explore</h3>· Saying no without overexplaining or spiraling afterward· Protecting your peace and emotional capacity· Creating clearer boundaries around time and availability· Recognizing where access to your energy needs to change· Choosing one realistic boundary to practice for the next 30 days<h3>Who This Is For</h3>This workshop is for women who feel overextended, overly responsible, constantly available, or ready to stop shrinking their needs to keep other people comfortable.No writing experience is required.
