Overview

Learn about propositions on YOUR November ballot that will affect housing and transportation in Palo Alto and beyond.

Mingle with fellow housing and transportation supporters while perusing tables with representatives from a variety of proposition campaigns, including:

  • Connect Bay Area, a quarter-cent sales tax to fund regional transit agencies, including Caltrain and VTA (Support)
  • Prop 1, an $11.25 billion state housing bond to fund as much as 50,000 affordable homes (Support)
  • Prop 43, the Howard Jarvis tax measure that would require 2/3 majorities for all special taxes, most prominently sales taxes and parcel taxes (Oppose)
  • The Community Services Sales Tax Measure, a half-cent sales tax to fund revitalization of the Cubberley Community Center (Support)
  • The Menlo Park parking lots measure, which would block housing on three city-owned parking lots in downtown Menlo (Oppose)
  • The Los Altos parking lots measure, which would block public parks on three city-owned parking lots in downtown Los Altos (Oppose)

Attendees will have the opportunity to visit all of the tables on their own time, ask campaign leaders questions directly, and get informed about how you want to vote.
