What to Bring:

September weather can be unpredictable, so let's all come prepared!

All volunteers should bring:

  • Water and water bottle ๐Ÿ’ง
  • Sunscreen ๐ŸŒž
  • Hat ๐Ÿงข
  • Sunglasses ๐Ÿ•ถ
  • Gloves (if you don't want to use the City's gloves) ๐Ÿงค
  • Registration confirmation โœ…

Please wear weather-appropriate clothing. We will be outside with limited shade!

The City will provide trash bags, litter pickers, and gloves for all participants.

The event will begin promptly at 9 AM. Please arrive early so we can process everyone's waivers.

There is no restroom onsite.

DATA!:

One of the main goals of Coastal Cleanup Day is to gather data about the trash collected at cleanup sites. This is a great way to learn more about the amount and types of litter polluting our watersheds and coastlines. Data from all cleanup sites across California will be summarized, and the results will be published online.

Some volunteers will be asked to follow groups of pickers and record what is collected.

By participating in Coastal Cleanup Day, volunteers will contribute to science, raise awareness about how to protect the environment, and strengthen our local community.
