Enkutatash: Celebrate the Ethiopian New Year at Coffee By Design

Gather with friends and family for a celebration filled with the vibrant flavors, traditions, and warm hospitality of Ethiopia. Whether you’re discovering Ethiopian culture for the first time or reconnecting with its rich traditions, this special evening offers a unique opportunity to experience one of the world’s great coffee cultures.

The evening begins with an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of our coffee roastery, led by one of Coffee By Design’s professional roasters. Learn why Ethiopia is celebrated as the birthplace of Arabica coffee, hear stories from our travels to coffee origin, and enjoy a guided tasting of three exceptional Ethiopian coffees, each showcasing the distinctive character of each coffee.

Following the coffee experience, gather around family-style tables for a traditional Ethiopian dinner prepared by Ethiopian Chef Aklilu of Niyat Catering. Enjoy Doro Tibs served with freshly baked injera while Chef Aklilu shares the stories behind the dishes, the ingredients, and the customs that make the Ethiopian New Year such a meaningful celebration.

This intimate event is limited to just 24 guests, creating an evening of conversation, learning, and shared experiences.

The entree dinner will be GF with Vegetarian options . The Chef will include a surprise dessert. ( Non GF)
