Where is the venue?

The game will be held at Millbrook Trail Rides, 8078 Whitfield Rd, Newark IL 60541. There is plenty of free parking available.

What time does the ride start?

Please arrive to the upper level of the barn to sign in by the start-time on your ticket. Late arrivals may not be able to join the horseback quest.

Question 3

What should I wear?

Accepted Answer

Costumes/Cosplay are encouraged and photography will be taken during the guided horseback ride. Please make sure all footwear will fit within a 5" wide stirrup. Please, no heavy armor-- weight requirements include clothing.

Do I need to wear a helmet?

Accepted Answer

Helmets are required for riders ages 17 and younger, and optional for everyone else. Helmets are available at the barn at no cost.

Can I participate as a non-riding player?

Yes. Please email contact@saddlesnaps.com for non-rider participation info.

What should I bring?

Accepted Answer

Please bring: Bag chair for the bonfire and any snacks or beverages you'd like, your player character sheet (approved by your DM during Session 0 on Discord), pencil/paper for notes, dice, and a miniature to represent your PC if you have one.

Question 7

Do I need riding experience to participate?

Accepted Answer

No. Your guide will provide a riding demonstration at the start of the ride and will guide you through the trails. We take hundreds of first-time riders on our trails each year on our well-behaved horses.

Question 8

What happens in case of inclement weather?

Accepted Answer

We will not ride if there is lightning, pouring rain, or high winds. You'll receive a refund to your original payment method through Eventbrite if the game must be canceled for inclement weather. All riders will be notified three hours prior to the start time if we must cancel.

Question 9

What is the refund policy?

Accepted Answer

Refunds provided for inclement weather or cancelation by organizer only. Tickets may be resold but new purchaser must be made aware of all height/weight requirements. If you can't make it we may be able to reschedule your ride to a different date, but this is not guaranteed.

Question 10

Can my child participate on this ride?

Accepted Answer

Kids age 14 and up may participate with a parent or guardian.
