Harvest Recipe Swap at Michigan Central Station

A warm plate can evoke memories & emotions like nothing else. The sounds of loved ones laughing and bickering in too-full kitchen spaces. Familiar hands slicing and stirring. Tasting, adjusting & nodding slowly. A feeling of warmth that could only come from our Yiayias, Tetas, Abuelitas- from the hands that taught us love.

The NxF SWAP SERIES is a part of our recurring event lineup. It is our way of stepping out of our retail-oriented, capitalism-driven day-to-day to engage in what matters most: COMMUNITY! We're so excited to share memories with you & are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to create these magical moments together. Look out for future swapportunities!

HOW IT WORKS

Each participant provides a SINGLE printed copy of their recipe - bonus points if you'd like to share an associated memory about what makes this recipe so special to you! We will provide blank recipe cards and allow everyone time to work their way around the table to make their own copies! The idea is that through WRITING these recipes down, we are giving them life, connecting with them & starting to grow our own relationship with their stories.

Please note: Due to Michigan Central limitations, we are not able to set up sampling or potlach style sharing.
