In-Person Class: Wine Tasting 101 (NYC)

Escape the hustle and bustle of New York City and settle into the cozy atmosphere of Origin Cafe + Wine Bar for an engaging introduction to the world of wine.

Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned wine lover, this guided tasting with Certified Sommelier Aaron will deepen your appreciation of what's in your glass. You'll sample six carefully selected wines- including a Chardonnay, Albariño, Merlot, Sangiovese, Red Blend, and a unique Argentine varietal (subject to availability)- while learning how to identify acidity, tannins, sweetness, alcohol levels, and the characteristics that define each wine.

Along the way, you'll explore how climate, soil, altitude, and winemaking regions shape a wine's flavor, while building confidence in your tasting skills. By the end of the experience, you'll leave with a better understanding of wine, a more refined palate, and the knowledge to enjoy every glass with confidence.

No experience is required! We provide all the wine, equipment, and materials. Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in, especially if you’re part of a large group. 21+ only.
