California Coastal Cleanup Day at Mother's Beach

Join Algalita and the Conservation Corps of Long Beach (Shore Corps) at Mother's Beach in Long Beach on Saturday, September 19th to celebrate California Coastal Cleanup Day: a powerful statewide movement that’s been protecting our coastlines for over 40 years.

For our 4th year in a row, we are partnering with our friends at Yoga Sanctum. They will be offering a FREE community yoga class at in the shady grass at Mother's Beach before the cleanup.

Yoga Session: 7:30 - 8:45 am

Cleanup: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

More Event Details

• Come whenever and stay for as long as you would like!
• We will have a water station for participants courtesy of LB Utilities.
• This year, all trash will be dumped at a singular location onsite. The city will be auditing trash picked up at all Long Beach sites for the first time!
• ALL AGES WELCOME!

What to Bring

• reusable water bottle
• sun protection (long sleeves, sunscreen, hat)
• a friend or family member!
• Algalita will provide buckets, bags, and gloves. Bring your trash picker if you have one!
• For yogis: bring your yoga mat and an open heart!
