Do I have to come with someone?

No, please feel comfortable coming alone. Most people do. The whole night is built so you never walk in knowing anyone, and you'll have a reason to talk to the room within a couple of minutes of arriving.

Is this speed dating?

Accepted Answer

No. There's no seating chart, no timer, and no rotation. You move at your own pace and talk to whoever your card sends you toward. If a conversation is going well, stay in it. If it's run its course, you've got a natural reason to keep moving.

Question 3

How does the bingo actually work?

Accepted Answer

You get a card where every square describes a kind of person in the room (someone who has lived abroad, someone with a pet reptile, and so on). You find them, say hello, and mark off the square. Fill a line and you've got BINGO. The card is just an excuse to start conversations!

Question 4

What's the age range?

Each night has a suggested age range, listed in the event title and description. It's a guide, not a bouncer at the door. Pick the night that fits you best, and if you're a year or two outside it, you're still welcome.

Are there prizes?

Yes, small silly ones, a grab bag of ridiculous little prizes for finishing your card. The real prize is the people you meet, and a fun night. Take your time completing your cards.

What should I wear?

Whatever makes you feel like yourself. These are casual, easygoing nights out. No dress code.

Do I need to buy food or drinks?

There's no minimum, but the venue is hosting us for the night, so grabbing a drink or a bite is a nice way to say thanks (and it gives you something to do with your hands). Everything is yours to buy at the bar.

What time should I get there?

The event starts at 7:00 PM and we get going as soon as we have a few people. If you arrive late it's no problem, you'll just jump right in!

I'm nervous. Is that okay?

Completely normal, and honestly thats why we run these events. The card does the hard part for you: it hands you an opener so you never have to walk up and invent a conversation. The host is there to keep things easy and make sure nobody's standing alone.

What are the bracelets?

A low-key way to let people know what you're looking for. Grab yours at the door: white if you're looking for new single friends, yellow if you're open to something casual, blue if you want a serious relationship. Wear one, two, all three, or none at all.

Will I have to exchange numbers?

Only if you want to. There's zero pressure. Meet who you meet, and take it as far or as little as feels right.

Can I buy a ticket at the door?

If the night hasn't sold out, yes, at the day-of price. These are small rooms though, so grabbing your ticket ahead is the safe move.

Tickets are refundable up until two days before the event, but they're always transferable. If you can't make it, send us an email and we'll make the next one you want to come to, free!
