Nairobi Developer Workshop: Python for Urban Logistics & Ledger Automation
Overview
A 1-day hands-on workshop for 60 local developers focused on spatial routing algorithms and financial ledger data isolation using Python.
Join us for an intensive, one-day community developer workshop in Nairobi for early-career software engineers, database administrators, and computer science students. This workshop focuses on solving real-world urban infrastructure challenges using Python.
What You Will Learn
- Spatial Logistics Optimization: Learn how to use Python and GeoPandas to process geographic-coordinate data and develop routing algorithms that improve transit times and scheduling efficiency.
- Financial Ledger Data Isolation: Discover how Python’s decimal types and ORM-based architectures can support accurate transaction processing and isolate financial records in multi-tenant databases, preventing records and funds belonging to different tenants from being mixed.
Requirements: Attendees must bring a laptop with Python installed. Lunch and refreshments will be provided. Participation is free for all accepted attendees.
