As a vegan, I am dedicated to using cruelty-free brushes. I choose to use "羊毫" (sheep's wool) brushes. Unlike traditional "狼毫" brushes, which are made with weasel hair and often involve harming or even killing weasels to get their hair.

Our suminagashi colour inks come from manufacturers that provide testing reports with the EN 71 1-2-3 safety standards (European Standard EN 71 Safety of Toys) and also carry the CE mark (Conformité Européenne) to make sure the inks are non-toxic and safe for the environment.
