A 90-min workshop for anyone who struggles to ask for what they need – without guilt, apology, or feeling like they’re asking for too much.

Most difficult conversations don’t fall apart because we ask for too much. They fall apart because we’re talking about strategies instead of the needs underneath them.<ul><li>“Text me more.”</li><li>“Help around the house.”</li><li>“I wish you were more present.”</li></ul> These are requests. Underneath them are needs: to feel considered, chosen, trusted, supported, understood. And when we don’t know what we actually need, it’s almost impossible for someone else to understand it. This workshop is about getting underneath the surface of difficult conversations, so you can identify what really matters to you — and express it with clarity instead of apology. Together we’ll explore how to:<ul><li>Move beyond surface requests to the deeper needs driving them</li><li>Identify what you actually want before you start the conversation</li><li>Shift the belief that your needs are “too much” or a burden to others</li><li>Express yourself in a way that’s honest, warm and easier for others to receive</li></ul> This workshop is for you if…<ul><li>You often minimise your needs or tell yourself they shouldn’t matter</li><li>You struggle to ask directly for what you want</li><li>Conversations leave you feeling misunderstood or disappointed</li><li>You’d like to communicate with more courage, clarity and self-trust</li></ul> In this highly experiential session, you’ll:<ul><li>Explore the needs underneath a real-life conversation you’re navigating</li><li>Learn practical frameworks from both Transformational Conversations and Nonviolent Communication</li><li>Practise expressing needs without over-explaining or apologising</li><li>Leave with language you can use in a conversation that matters to you</li></ul> You’ll leave feeling more connected to what you want — and more willing to let other people genuinely know you. This workshop is also a taste of Say the Hard Thing – a six-week live programme created by intimacy coach Haneen Khan, beginning in October. Together, Georgie and Haneen combine practical conversation skills with nervous-system awareness, relational psychology and embodied practice to help you have the conversations you’ve been avoiding. We’ll share more about the programme at the end of the session, with absolutely no pressure. _______________ About your facilitatorsGeorgie Nightingall is the founder of Trigger Conversations, a London-based organisation on a mission to make the world more human through the lost art of meaningful conversation. Bored and frustrated with the question ‘what do you do’, Georgie founded Trigger to find a formula for engineering more meaningful conversations in our everyday lives. Trigger’s event spaces and global transformational conversations training programmes are designed to invite participants to strip their work labels, go beyond small talk and be real - reclaiming conversation as an opportunity for adventure, play and discovery. She draws on over a decade of relational practice including circling, dance, embodied consciousness, improvisation theatre, IFS and coaching. Haneen Khan, Intimacy Coach, is on a cheeky mission to help you feel joyful &amp; connected to your desires in sex, dating &amp; relating. Her playful workshops encourage you to break free of old scripts, so you can step into truthful intimacy. Haneen blends her training of the last 8 years in Internal Family Systems Therapy, Non-Violent Communication, Wheel of Consent, and Improv Theatre, with her personal obsessions in kink &amp; ENM.
