Empowering Focus: Brain-Based Tools for Motivation & Self-Regulation
Focus, motivation, and self-regulation can be challenging at any age—but they don’t have to be!
Learn how the brain and body support focus, motivation, and self-regulation in this interactive 6-session workshop.
We can't learn if we don't feel safe — when the amygdala reads something as danger, it blocks new information from reaching the thinking brain. This 6-week class teaches kids 7+ how that works: the brain, neurotransmitters, the levels of the autonomic nervous system, plus real practice in mindfulness, regulation, reading body cues, reframing unhelpful thoughts, solving interpersonal problems, and co-regulating together — all through games, movement, and play. Kids leave understanding what actually gets in the way of focusing and following through.
Bring an adult along free; parents tell us they get as much out of it as their kids do. $120 per child.
Important Notes:
- This is a small-group, interactive series designed for ages 7 and up
