The evening will be hosted by Raheel Khaliq, a respected presenter, fundraiser and community advocate. Known for his engaging style and passion for bringing communities together, Raheel has hosted numerous charity events across the UK.

He will guide us through an uplifting evening of inspiration, reflection and generosity as we work together to build a lasting legacy for our community.

Our vision goes beyond establishing a community centre. We want to create long-term opportunities to support, empower and bring our community together, both locally and internationally.

Through the support raised, we aim to develop and fund initiatives such as:

* 🕌 A permanent community centre — a welcoming space for Islamic learning, community activities, families and youth.

* 🤲 Umrah support — helping Muslim reverts and others who may otherwise not have the opportunity to experience this blessed journey.

* 📖 Shahada and revert support — providing Shahada packs, guidance, resources and ongoing support for those who embrace Islam.

* 🎓 Islamic education and learning — creating opportunities for people of all ages to learn and grow in their faith.

* 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family, youth and community programmes — supporting the next generation and strengthening families.

* 🤝 Wider community projects — responding to the needs of our community and supporting those who require help.

Together, we can build more than a centre. We can build a stronger, more connected community, support people on their journey, and create projects that continue to benefit others for years to come, insha’Allah.

Imam Abid Khan

Islamic Scholar | Educator | Community Leader

Imam Abid Khan is a respected Islamic scholar, educator and community leader who studied in the UK and at Al-Azhar University in Cairo. As Director of Education at Cheadle Masjid, he is passionate about nurturing faith, supporting families and empowering young Muslims with a confident Islamic identity. His practical and inspiring talks, rooted in the Qur’an and Sunnah, have benefited communities across the UK.

Nathan Ellington

Former Premier League Footballer | Revert to Islam

Nathan Ellington enjoyed a successful career at the highest level of English football before accepting Islam. He will share his remarkable journey of faith, purpose and transformation, reflecting on life in professional football and how Islam gave him renewed direction and purpose.
