Melbourne's The Cars That Ate Paris make a dark, shimmery post punk pulling together the swampland goth tradition of Melbourne with the arid garage and weird desperation of the west coast. Evocative of Hole, Sonic Youth, TFS and Placebo, the Cars That Ate Paris are new on the scene, dead in dog years, and queer as in f--k you.

Deep Majestic Thunder

From the storm of sound and spirit emerges Deep Majestic Thunder – a genre-bending force where psychedelic funk, metal power, and mystic groove collide. Blending thunderous riffs, hypnotic basslines, and primal rhythm with raw, electrifying vocals, the band channels the ecstatic energy of rock’s golden age through a modern, apocalyptic lens.

Sahul Sakti is an improvisation ensemble who transports listeners around the world, across sonic worlds, across creative boundaries. We draw on our post-classical, Brazilian, Asia-Pacific, jazz, electronica, folk, psych, metal, prog, and experimental music influences to create a sound that is rooted in friendship, imagination, and a deep exploration of acoustic possibilities.

Our music is psychedelic, atmospheric, jazz-inflected, with hints of electronica, folk, music from different parts of the world, and our own unique irresistible global beat that will draw you in.
