PCOS Reset Workshop: What Insulin Resistance Really Is + Sound Bath Session

Insulin resistance gets talked about a lot in PCOS spaces, but few people are ever shown what it actually is or how it’s affecting their day-to-day life. In this workshop, you’ll get a clear, understandable explanation of insulin resistance—what’s happening at the hormone level, why it’s tied to symptoms like fatigue, cravings, weight changes, irregular cycles, and fertility challenges, and how understanding these patterns can help you feel more confident making choices for your health. This will be led by Dr. Gehana Shankar, a naturopathic physcian who also has personal experience with PCOS and has supported many women feel their best by helping them take control of their PCOS.

You’ll then be invited into a calming sound bath session with Becca Binsted, a sound practitioner, to help your nervous system settle, soften stress, and give your body a chance to decompress. Together, the education and sound experience are designed to help you feel more informed, more empowered, and more connected to your body as you navigate PCOS.

You’ll walk away with a new way of making sense of your symptoms, plus a practical experience of what it feels like when your system moves from “wired and overwhelmed” toward genuine calm.

Your facilitators:

Becca Binsted
Becca is a sound practitioner whose work is rooted in sound, anchored in stillness, and guided by deep listening.

Through thoughtfully held sound experiences, she creates space for participants to slow down, settle into their bodies, and return to their natural rhythm. Resonant tones gently move through and around the body, inviting moments of presence, rest, and reconnection.

Her work is intended to meet each person wherever they are, offering a gentle space to soften, restore balance, and come home to themselves. Participants are invited to pause, listen deeply, and meet themselves exactly as they are, with curiosity, compassion, and care.
