Expect a truly beautiful nite of Trio Music!

Louis Durra is a pianist, composer, producer, now living in Berlin. As a child, he was fascinated with everything related to music, and had a life-changing experience when he heard John Coltrane’s Quartet on the radio!

After attending Berklee for a few years, he moved to L.A. and got into playing and recording, theater music-directing and did a few years’ work as a film sound-effects editor.

In 2010 he began a residency, performing three-four nights a week with his trio. They developed a collective voice playing current pop and indie music. They started recording albums.

Louis traveled to Scotland to perform in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and then moved to Germany in 2013. During the pandemic, Louis went deeper with some of the eternal challenges of musicians — working on things like playing in every key, reading classical music, memorizing songs, and learning music by ear.

This return visit to L.A. is exciting – playing with old friends Jerry Kalaf, and Joel Hamilton. The audience will be full of friends and relations!
