Join us on Friday, September 18th, from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM for a Cosplay Photography Mixer at FD Photo Studios, Astoria!

We’re opening three completely different studios so you can shoot your character in multiple distinct worlds in one evening:

🎨 Studio 2 – The Color Realm
A bright and playful studio featuring colorful walls, hardwood floors, and a creative editorial feel. Perfect for anime, whimsical characters, slice-of-life cosplay, magical girls, and vibrant storytelling shots.

🌿 Studio 6 – The Enchanted Grove
A lush jungle-inspired loft featuring greenery, a gold bathtub, and a dramatic fantasy atmosphere. Perfect for elves, nature spirits, royalty, magical creatures, fantasy portraits, and romantic character scenes.

⚡ Studio 7 – The Neon Hideout
A moody blackout studio featuring a glowing RGB tunnel, motorcycle, and industrial details. Perfect for cyberpunk, post-apocalyptic, urban fantasy, villains, and cinematic cosplay.

Who this is for

Open to heroes, villains, and everything between… cosplayers, photographers, videographers, models, actors, HMUAs, dancers, brands, stylists, designers, producers, and anyone building a portfolio or looking for fresh content. If you've been meaning to book studio time, try a new collaboration, or meet the NYC creative community, this is the way to do it.

Cosplay is strongly encouraged (but not required). Bring your own costumes or collaborate with others on-site.

How it works

This is a collaborative group mixer. Please share the space respectfully and work together creatively.

A few things to know going in:

• Studios are shared. Please rotate between the studios so everyone gets time.
• Models and photographers are not provided or guaranteed. You may bring your own team or collaborate with creatives you meet at the event. FD provides the space and available lighting, and grip equipment.
• Photo participation. By default, attendees may photograph and be photographed.
• Model releases or commercial agreements are handled directly between participants. FD provides the space but does not mediate individual arrangements.
• Attendees are responsible for their own equipment, personal items, and personal safety during the event. Our host will be on-site throughout to help with anything you need.
