BIMA's BHM Soirée fills the museum with live music, performances, art-making, & a pop-up market spotlighting Black-owned businesses.
Celebrate Black culture, creativity, and community at BIMA's annual Black History Month Soirée!
Live music and performances rooted in Black traditions draw you in to move, reflect, and connect. Hands-on art activities invite you to explore identity, history, and vision through creative expression. This year, inspired by Booking: Artists' Books By Black Artists, you can even print your own message on posters and cards using our provisional presses and woodtype collection!
The Black Love Market returns this year with another curated pop-up where you'll find art, goods, and food by Black makers and entrepreneurs. Artists whose work is featured in Booking will also be there selling their books, prints, and more!
Whether you’re here to dance, connect with community, support small businesses, or simply spend time with friends and family—you’re welcome here.
