Cacao Medicine Journey: Healing the Feminine/Mother Wound

Nicole Gnutzman is a Cacao Medicine, Reiki II and Shamanic Practitioner and has worked with ceremonial cacao for several years in personal, individual and group ceremony. She is also a  certified Whole Person Coach. In her work she shares ancient wisdom practices, cacao medicine and shamanic drum journeys and transformational coaching and mentoring to guide clients on their spiritual path.  Before becoming a healing practitioner, Nicole spent 18 years in the corporate world in leadership positions, which adds a depth of experience, wisdom and presence to her work that creates trust. She truly embodies and teaches how cacao and wisdom practices support living a whole, luminous life.

She is feminine in nature--unconditionally loving, compassionate and supportive--which is why she is referred to as Mama Cacao. She supports and holds us as we do our deep, inner work.However you identify, due to conditioning and cultural expectation, we have been rewarded to be in our masculine--action- and success-oriented, focused, rational, in control. And it has taken a toll on all of us.... We are exhausted, depleted and disconnected from ourselves and life itself.It’s time to return to and reclaim the feminine--intuitive, receptive, emotionally connected, flowing, embodied knowing--and come back into balance, so we feel whole and nourished.When we are disconnected from the feminine--it's called the Mother Wound. This wound comes from various sources:· relationship with our own mothers or women, where we did not receive what we needed· carrying the pain and suffering passed on to us by our ancestral, matrilineal line· disconnected from Mother Earth and not respecting or treating her as sacred.This wounding may show up as*distrusting our intuition and inner knowing*perfectionism, needing certainty*feeling unworthy*self-limiting beliefs*people pleasing; losing oneself*harsh inner criticism, comparison, competition*fear of rejection and abandonment.We all carry the Mother Wound in some way. When we heal it, we reclaim the feminine; and we heal ourselves and all, including Mother Earth.I have my own healing story with cacao to share: In my first journey with cacao 12 years ago, after releasing years of tears and an emotional burden I had been carrying for a very long time, Mama Cacao appeared to me as a female presence, more energetic than visual, and I felt her unconditional love. What transpired after that was a miraculous rebirthing process and Mother Wound healing, which I did not know at the time even existed. I will share more about my experience during our ceremony. After ceremony, every relationship I had with the feminine--my mother, myself, my sister and all other women in my life--changed in that moment.... This is deeply healing, rebirthing and reparenting work.
