Join us for an intimate, interactive discussion, listening party, and more with Charlie Angus (L'Etranger, Grievous Angels).
Charlie Angus is one of the most prominent people to emerge out of Toronto's dynamic 1980s music scene. He co-founded L'Etranger in 1980 with Andrew Cash, and later co-founded Grievous Angels. He is a former MP (Timmins-James Bay, NDP) and is a prolific author and activist.
This special event will bring you up and close and personal with Charlie as he recounts his days in the Toronto music scene. We'll spin some L'Etranger records, talk about the intersection of punk and politics, and take questions from the audience.
Hang out afterwards and be treated to pizza and pop, while our fabulous hostess Kingi Carpenter shows you how to silk screen your own souvenir from the afternoon. Make your own L'Etranger tote bag, or bring your own t-shirts or other swag to print! (We'll also have other punk rock screens to play with.)
Charlie's talk will be moderated by Liz Worth.
