The Contractor Risk Playbook
Before a contractor ever starts a job, risk is already being created through contracts, insurance requirements, certificates of insurance, subcontractor relationships, vehicle exposure, workers’ compensation, and jobsite responsibilities. This session helps contractors understand the common gaps that can lead to uncovered claims, contract disputes, delayed jobs, audit problems, and unexpected financial loss. Attendees will learn what COIs do and do not prove, why additional insured and waiver of subrogation requirements matter, how subcontractor insurance can create hidden exposure, and why cheap or incomplete coverage can become expensive. The goal is to help contractors protect the business before the job begins.
