Not at all. Whether you've journaled for years or are opening a journal for the very first time, you'll be guided through the experience with simple prompts and reflection. There is no "right" way to journal.

What should I bring?

A journal or notebook is suggested. "Notes" on your phone will work. 
Your favorite pen
A Bible (optional)
An open heart

If you forget your journal, don't worry—we'll have a limited number available for purchase..

What if I'm not sure I know how to hear God's voice?

You're not alone. Many people desire a deeper relationship with God but aren't always confidence in recognizing His leading. The Listening Room is a place to slow down, reflect on Scripture, pray, and cultivate practices that help you grow in discernment.

Is this a Bible study?

No. While Scripture is foundational to everything we do, The Listening Room is not a traditional Bible study. It's a guided experience of prayer, reflection, journaling, and intentional listening in community.

Will coffee be provided?

Food and beverages are available for purchase directly from Southern Grounds. Feel free to grab your favorite drink and settle in before we begin.

Absolutely! The Listening Room is designed to be experienced together. Invite a friend, family member, coworker, or anyone who could use a morning of peace, clarity, and encouragement.

Yes. If you're seeking dedicated time for guided reflection, thoughtful conversation, and greater clarity around your next steps, private Listening Sessions may be available by appointment. Details about scheduling and availability will be shared.
