Link 2 Legacy: College & Scholarship Readiness

Overview

Link 2 Legacy: College & Scholarship Readiness gives students and families practical guidance for navigating scholarships, college funding

College planning should not feel confusing, overwhelming, or out of reach.

The Link 2 Legacy College & Scholarship Readiness Event is a practical experience designed to help students and families build a clearer plan for college, scholarships, financial aid, and long-term success.

Led by veteran educator, scholarship strategist, author, and Link 2 Legacy founder Kelle Bynum, this event will move families beyond scattered information and give them organized, realistic next steps.

Attendees can expect guidance on:

✓ Finding local, community, career-specific, and lesser-known scholarships
✓ Building a complete college funding plan instead of depending on one scholarship
✓ Strengthening student profiles and scholarship essays
✓ Organizing applications, documents, email, portals, and deadlines
✓ Understanding financial aid, FAFSA, and possible funding gaps
✓ Supporting students with ADHD and learning differences
✓ Preparing students for college expectations and campus support
✓ Creating a personalized scholarship and college-readiness action plan

Families will also participate in a hands-on College and Scholarship Action Lab, where they will begin building a scholarship plan, deadline system, document checklist, and next-step strategy.

The event will include:

Lunch
Vendor networking and family resources
Questions and answers
Book purchases and signing

Kelle’s book, The Ultimate Family College & Scholarship Readiness Guide Made Easy, will be available at the event.

This experience is appropriate for middle school students, high school students, college students, parents, guardians, and families who want practical support navigating the college process.

Come ready to learn, ask questions, get organized, and leave with a plan that lasts.
