This lantern workshop is for the Atlanta Beltline Lantern Parade on September 19!
Make a Jack-o-Lantern with silly arms and hands to march in the Jack-o-Lantern Jam ensemble behind the Seed & Feed Marching Abominables!
These jack-o-lanterns are easy and made from a 16” paper lanterns that we will decorate with paper and glue. These are best for folks old enough to use scissors. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Tickets are per lantern. (A child an and adult can work together on one lantern with one ticket.) All materials are provided including lights and batteries. Please do your best to be on time to get all the instructions and finish your Jack-o-Lantern puppet in two hours.
Please look at this map to the Lantern Parade Studio! The Lee+White entrance is on White St. Make a left and go all the way to the Lee St. end. We are undeneath the dentist and chiropractor. Look for the red Krewe flag. The first two hours of parking are free, then it is $6.
Here are the parade details , other workshops, and the route map. We line-up at 7:15 on Tift Ave & Lucile St. at Adair Park II and step-off at 8:00pm. Look for the Great Pumpkin! It's a 1.4 mile walk to the finish at Lee + White.
