2026 North Shore Fish and Game Salmon Derby

2026 North Shore Fish and Game Salmon Derby

Overview

Get out on the water, have a great time, catch a fish, win a prize!

Sunday, September 13, 2026

Join the North Shore Fish & Game Club for a great day on the water at our annual Salmon Derby!

Whether you're an experienced angler chasing your next trophy Chinook or introducing a friend or family member to salmon fishing, our derby is all about enjoying a day on the water, friendly competition, and supporting conservation.

$50 per person. Everyone on the boat needs to have a ticket or none of the fish on that boat count. You need to be in the line up at Thunderbird by 1:00 pm to qualify.

Any illegal fish will result in all fish being disqualiifed.

Know your identification or don't kill the fish.

Do not kill wild coho beause you think they're a spring just becasue they're big! There will be zero tolerance for that.

At 1:00 we'll weigh fish, award prizes, share stories, and enjoy the telling lies about how many got away and how big they were.

Your registration includes:

  • Entry into the Salmon Derby
  • Eligibility for derby prizes
  • Weigh-in and awards
  • An opportunity to meet fellow anglers from across the Lower Mainland

Who can participate?

Everyone is welcome! You do not need to be a North Shore Fish & Game Club member to participate.

Whether you fish from your own boat, with friends, or as part of a guided trip, we encourage anglers of all experience levels to join us.

The North Shore Fish & Game Club is a volunteer-run conservation organization dedicated to protecting fish and wildlife, promoting ethical hunting and angling, educating new outdoor enthusiasts, and ensuring future generations can enjoy British Columbia's natural resources.
