As the year draws to a close, you are invited into a space of wonder, reflection, and gratitude.

During this journey, you may connect with a current companion, an animal in spirit, a wild animal, an animal guide, or any animal presence that feels meaningful to you. Together, we will reflect on the love and wisdom animals bring into our lives while creating space for hope, renewal, and the possibilities of the year ahead.

No particular spiritual belief is needed. You are welcome to understand "Animals of Light" in whatever way feels authentic to you—as spiritual connection, loving memory, inner wisdom, imagination, or the steady light animals awaken within us.

Animals invite us into a different way of being—one rooted in presence, awareness, and the quiet language of the heart.

Created and offered together by Jaime and Gunther Kuhn, the Animal Connection Sound Journey weaves guided meditation, rhythmic drumming, singing bowls, gong, chimes, rattles, and other sounds into a shared experience of rest, reflection, and connection.
Each gathering invites you to slow down, settle your nervous system, and connect with an animal through a guided meditation in whatever way feels meaningful to you. You might choose a companion who currently shares your life, an animal who lives elsewhere, an animal who has died, a wild animal or species, or the larger presence of animals and nature.

No experience with meditation, Animal Reiki, guided journeys, or sound baths is required. There is no particular experience you are expected to have and nothing you need to achieve. You may notice a memory, image, feeling, insight, or peaceful sense of companionship. You may simply experience the gathering as a much-needed opportunity to rest. All of these possibilities are welcome.

What to Expect

The experience begins with an accessible guided meditation and inner journey grounded in a combination of Animal Reiki and Shamanic Journey. Jaime and Gunther will support the meditation with frame drum and carefully chosen sounds before the spoken guidance gently fades into an immersive sound bath.

Together, they will tend the room and shape the soundscape using singing bowls, gong, chimes, rattles, drum, and other instruments. Sound and steady rhythm may help quiet mental activity and encourage the nervous system to move toward a more relaxed state. From this place of greater ease, we may find it more natural to listen inwardly and feel our connection with animals and the living world.

At the end of the sound bath, Jaime will gently guide you back into the room. There will be time to become grounded and briefly reflect on the experience. Sharing is always optional.

Meet Your Facilitators

Jaime Kuhn is the founder of The Empowered Companion®, a Let Animals Lead® Animal Reiki practitioner and teacher, and a Certified Companion Animal End-of-Life Doula. Her work is devoted to honoring the human–animal bond through presence, meditation, compassion, and heart-centered connection.

Gunther Kuhn brings a lifelong love of music and a calm, attentive presence to these gatherings. Raised with symphonies and opera and shaped by his early experience singing in a boys' choir, he developed a deep appreciation for harmony, composition, and the emotional language of music. His love of animals and the natural world also deeply informs his approach.

Together, Jaime and Gunther create a welcoming space where love, gratitude, grief, curiosity, and connection may all be present.

Duration: 60 minutes

Cost: $40 per person

Attendance: Limited to 10 adults

Registration closes 24 hours before the gathering. Advance registration is required; walk-in registration will not be available due to space limitations.

Detailed parking, building, and arrival instructions will be sent by email after registration.

What to Bring

Please wear comfortable clothing and bring anything you need to rest comfortably, such as:

A yoga mat

A blanket

A pillow or bolster

An eye covering

Water

Chairs are available for anyone who prefers to remain seated.

Important Information

This is a human-only gathering. Companion animals cannot attend and may remain peacefully at home.

Please plan to arrive approximately 10–15 minutes early so you have time to enter, choose your space, and settle in. To protect the quiet experience of the group, the doors will close when the journey begins, and late arrivals cannot be accommodated.

Because immersive sound can be felt as well as heard, please contact The Empowered Companion before registering if you have significant sound sensitivities, use a hearing device, are pregnant, or have a health condition that may affect your comfort. Sound experiences are intended to support relaxation and personal reflection and are not a substitute for medical or mental health care.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made at least seven days before the gathering are eligible for a refund of the event cost, excluding platform and service fees. For cancellations made between 48 hours and seven days before the event, your registration may be transferred as a credit toward the following month's Animal Connection Sound Journey.

Cancellations made within 48 hours of the event, late arrivals, and no-shows are not eligible for a refund or credit. Ticketing or platform fees are nonrefundable.

If The Empowered Companion must cancel the gathering, the event price will be refunded or transferred to another gathering according to your preference.

JAIME KUHN

Animal Reiki Teacher | Companion Animal End-of-Life Doula | Sound Healing Practitioner

Jaime Kuhn is an Animal Reiki practitioner and teacher, Certified Companion Animal End-of-Life Doula, Certified Sound Healing Practitioner, and feline behavior professional. Through The Empowered Companion®, she helps animals and the people who walk beside them nurture greater calm, connection, understanding, and trust through every season of life.

Her work brings together Animal Reiki, meditation, sound, compassionate education, behavior support, ceremony, and end-of-life care. Jaime offers Distance Animal Reiki, Companion Connection sessions, Animal Connection Sound Journeys, private sound journeys, pet loss support, feline behavior guidance, and nonmedical doula care before, during, and after an animal's death.

At the heart of Jaime's work is a deep respect for animals as sentient beings with their own agency, wisdom, preferences, and ways of communicating. She creates welcoming, judgment-free spaces where animals and people can feel supported, strengthen the bonds they share, and meet both joyful and tender transitions with greater presence, compassion, and love.

You MUST register and pay in advance to ensure you have a spot. Seats are limited. We sell out a handful of events each month. Your registration isn’t complete until you pay for your event. Marking yourself as Going or Attending does not guarantee a spot or reserve your seat. You may pay via our website or Eventbrite.
