The Repair Room is a guided sewing experience rooted in care, intention, and reconnection.Over the course of this 3-hour gathering, we begin by grounding into the practice—learning foundational sewing techniques through hands-on exploration. Using muslin swatches, you’ll be introduced to the straight stitch, basic hemming, button attachment, and light shashiko-inspired mending and patching. From there, the space opens.Participants are invited into a supported repair session, where you’ll work on your own garments—restoring, altering, or reimagining pieces in a way that feels aligned and personal. This is not just about learning how to sew. It is about tending to what we already have, moving with intention, and allowing the act of making to become both practical and restorative.
