Presenting Bylines, Broadcasts and the Big Screen! A new film series showcasing some of the Greatest Journalism Films in History, with commentary by some of the biggest names in journalism!This month, we present the. 1941 film, Citizen Kane, directed, produced by, and starring Orson Welles and co-written by Welles and Herman J. Mankiewicz, and was Welles's first feature film. Following the death of publishing tycoon Charles Foster Kane, reporters scramble to uncover the meaning of his final utterance: “Rosebud.” (IMDb) There will be a Q&amp;A and reception after the screening. Special Guests: Josh Mankiewicz, who has been reporting for “Dateline NBC” since 1995, and Ben Mankiewicz, the host of “Turner Classic Movies.” They are the grandsons of screenwriter Herman Mankiewicz, who co-wrote "Citizen Kane”.The Supple Foundation is the presenting sponsor of the film series. Additional support is being provided by the Donald and Coeta Barker Foundation, David Cantwell and Vincent Monteleone, Stuart Kent and Mark Pellegrino, Jim and Carol Egan, and David Hood.
