Jobs Not Guns Citywide Recruitment & Resource Fair

The Just Us Girls Retreat is a one-day event exclusively for 50 girls, ages 15–18, from Washington, D.C.’s East of the River communities Wards 7 and 8. The retreat offers a safe and supportive space where the participants can engage with a diverse group of professional women that will share practical guidance, resources, and opportunities related to employment, job training, gun violence and drug prevention, health and wellness and support services. The program is designed to help girls prevent or overcome challenges such as drug and alcohol use, gun violence, and social pressures. Our goal is to empower each participant to “Make a Powerful and Successful First Impression” and to begin building a clear and achievable career roadmap.
