In-Person Class: French Macarons: Fun for All Ages (DC)

Chef Jonathan will guide you through every step, from preparing the meringue and mastering macaronage to piping, baking, and assembling your finished treats. Along the way, you'll pick up tips and techniques to help you recreate these iconic cookies at home with confidence. This family-friendly class is designed for adults and young aspiring bakers to enjoy together.

What You'll Make:
You'll prepare a batch of classic French macarons filled with a selection of delicious seasonal flavors. Along the way, you'll learn the essential techniques for achieving smooth shells, signature "feet," and perfectly paired fillings, making this class approachable for first-time bakers and rewarding for experienced home cooks alike.

No experience necessary!
Our classes are designed to be fun, relaxed, and approachable for everyone. Children are welcome but must be accompanied by a participating adult throughout the class. Because you'll be working with real kitchen tools and equipment, we recommend this experience for children who are mature enough to safely follow instructions with adult supervision. Your workstation will be fully prepared with all the ingredients and equipment you'll need—just bring your enthusiasm and enjoy the experience together.

Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in.
You will be seated with your booking party and may work with other students in groups of 2–5 by sharing ingredients and equipment. Drinks will be available for purchase from the venue and are not included in the ticket price. Outside beverages are not permitted.

Guest requirement

The nature of our classes are set up so that booking parties will work together during class, sharing both ingredients and equipment. Groups of 2 may be asked to share their station with another couple. Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in so that class can begin on time. Drinks are available for purchase from the venue and are NOT included in the ticket price. Outside drinks are not allowed.
