Join Us for Sickle Cell Family Wellness Day!

In honor of sickle cell awareness month, the HEM Foundation, Inc. has partnered with the University of Miami Sickle Cell Center of Excellence and NoMi Village for a day created to support the whole family and the whole person.

Sickle Cell Family Wellness Day brings together individuals living with sickle cell disease, children, caregivers, healthcare providers, and community members for an interactive day of education, wellness, connection, and fun.

We believe it’s never too early to learn how to understand what your body is communicating, navigate stress, build healthy coping skills, and care for your mental and physical well-being. Throughout the day, families will have opportunities to learn and experience practical wellness tools together, while still having plenty of space to play, explore, eat, and connect.

Our goal is simple: for every member of the family to leave with new knowledge, practical tools, meaningful connections, and resources they can continue using long after the day ends.

Regarding Bounce House & Children's Activities: Participation is optional and subject to posted safety rules, age/size requirements, and weather conditions. Parents/guardians remain responsible for supervising their children.

✅ REQUIRED BEFORE YOU ARRIVE
All participants must complete a Waiver & Release of Liability. Parents/guardians may complete the waiver for their minor children. Complete it in advance for faster check-in on event day!
