Steve Kohn’s Tribute to Billy Joel – Songs and Stories

Billy Joel was born in the Bronx and grew up in Hicksville on Long Island. He took classical piano lessons as a youth and grew to become one of the most prolific songwriters and performers of our time. Steve Kohn was born in Brooklyn and grew up in Merrick on Long Island - about 10 minutes from Hicksville. He also took classical piano lessons as a youth and grew to appreciate the intricacies of Joel’s music as it had become the prominent soundtrack of his life.

In this presentation, Steve will perform a retrospective of some of the deeper cuts from that soundtrack. Throughout the show, Steve will offer backstory or a personal connection he has with the music - as he puts his individual spin on these classic songs.

This is a teens and adults only program (16+). Unfortunately, children and infants will not be permitted to attend.
