Painting the Bay: Creating Luminous Landscapes in Acrylic

6 pm to 8 pm in the SHAMc Studio
Ages: 12 to adult, $120 per person
All materials included - just bring your creativity!
No prior painting experience required.

This four-session acrylic painting course introduces students to the fundamentals of painting coastal landscapes with acrylics in a welcoming step-by-step environment. Students will build confidence while learning techniques for creating luminous landscapes, including colour mixing, tonal studies, layering, glazing, and creating the illusion of depth, finally developing skills they can continue to use independently.

Students will work from reference images to develop their own interpretation of a bayscape while learning how artists use observation, composition, and color relationships to evoke mood and emotion.
