<p>Cali Sessions | Playful Movement, Community &amp; Authentic Relating</p><p><a href="https://www.ashrafalali.com" title="https://www.ashrafalali.com/cali-session" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Cali Sessions</a> emerged from my need to practice being a responsible adult without losing playfulness and aliveness.</p><p>I noticed how I had gotten too adult too quickly. As a child, I used to run the streets for hours and hours.</p><p>My intention is to embody that playfulness and aliveness in daily life—not as a weekend workshop, but as a weekly community practice.</p>

<h2>What happens in Cali Sessions?</h2><p>We move, sweat, play, breathe, rest, and connect.</p><p>The physical practice combines:</p><p>• Animal Flow and primal movement<br>• Calisthenics and functional strength<br>• Yoga and mobility<br>• Breathwork<br>• Partner exercises and group dynamics<br>• Playful exploration of physical limits</p><p>We take off our shoes and masks, move our bodies, express ourselves, and develop relational skills.</p><p>You don't need to be an athlete, a yogi, or particularly fit to join. All levels are welcome.<br></p><h2><br></h2>

<h2>What do we practice?</h2><h3>1) Nervous system capacity</h3><p>How do I stay present in my body while activated?</p><p>How do I meet physical and emotional intensity without immediately collapsing, disconnecting, or reacting?</p><p>How do I truly rest, not simply become restless while waiting for the next thing?<br></p><h3>2) Emotional honesty</h3><p>How do I notice what I am actually feeling?</p><p>How do I express what is happening inside me through my body and voice?</p><p>How do I discern what is mine and what is not mine?<br></p><h3>3) Authentic relating</h3><p>How do I connect with others without abandoning myself?</p><p>How do I say Yes, No, Stop, and Go?</p><p>How do I make my boundaries visible, not a permeable surface, nor an isolation fortress?</p><p>These are not things we need to perform perfectly.</p><p>They are practices.<br></p><h2><br></h2>

<h2>The culture of Cali Sessions</h2><p>Built on consent and respect, we create a space where imperfection, boundaries, and challenge can exist without shaming or judging.</p><p>We gather here because life becomes lighter, more real, and more connected when we listen to our bodies, trust our feelings, and speak our truths.</p><p>You can expect to sweat, laugh, challenge yourself, rest, and meet other people who are also practicing being more themselves.</p><p>Cali Sessions is not about becoming a better version of yourself, but meeting yourself where you are with respect and aspiration.<br></p><h2>Who is this for?</h2><p>Cali Sessions might be for you if you want:</p><p>• A physical practice that goes beyond performance<br>• To build strength, coordination, mobility, and body awareness<br>• To reconnect with playfulness and aliveness<br>• To explore emotional expression through body and voice<br>• To practice boundaries and authentic connection<br>• To move and grow alongside a community</p><p>Come as you are.</p><p>You don't have to be confident, flexible, strong, emotionally open, or experienced.</p><p>You only need to be willing to show up and participate.<br></p><h2>Arrival &amp; Leaving</h2><p>Please be on time.</p><p><strong><strong>We arrive at 14:45.</strong></strong><br><strong><strong>The door closes at 15:00.</strong></strong><br><strong><strong>We leave at 16:45.</strong></strong></p><p>I’m committed to appreciating and respecting the time and space of IKSK and all participants.</p><p>Through our collective efforts, we create ease and peace in each other’s lives.</p><p>With Love </p>

<p><br></p><h2>About the Facilitator</h2><p>Ashraf Alali is a psychologist, yoga teacher, life coach, and community facilitator.</p><p>His work brings together movement practice, personal development, emotional awareness, and human connection to create spaces where people can grow physically, emotionally, and relationally.</p>
