Fall 2026 Backyard Gardening Series

Please join us for the 2026 Gadsden Fall Backyard Gardening Series! This is a two-part series that will run from 6:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday, September 22nd and 6:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday, September 29 at the Gadsden County Extension Office (2140 W. Jefferson St., Quincy, FL). The first session will focus on garden site selection, soil preparation and fertilization. The second session will discuss fall planting and gardening techniques, beneficial and harmful insects found in the garden, and integrated pest management. Participants will get hands-on experience seeding vegetables seeds and leave with some for their garden.

Spring Backyard Gardening Series Presentations:

1) Tuesday September 22nd, 2026, 6:00-8:00 p.m. Eastern

• Garden site selection
• Soil and fertilization
• Hands-on seeding techniques

2) Tuesday, September 29th, 2026, 6:00-8:00 p.m. Eastern

• Greenhouse tour and hands-on seeding
• Insects and pest management

The cost for both evenings is $12/person or $24/family of 3-4. This includes the cost of educational materials and refreshments.
