Living With Deer: A Permaculture Approach to Garden Protection

Deer keeping your garden down?

If you keep losing plants to deer, you are not alone. Many gardeners try sprays, fencing, deer-resistant plants, or random tricks, only to feel frustrated when the deer keep coming back.

This 1-hour online workshop will help you understand deer pressure differently.

Instead of fighting the land, a permaculture approach asks us to work with nature by observing patterns, understanding how deer move through the landscape, and creating layered protection strategies that are more thoughtful, consistent, and realistic over time.

This workshop is for gardeners who want to stop guessing and start seeing their garden from a clearer perspective.

In this workshop, you’ll learn:

  • Why common deer fixes fail
  • How deer are approaching your garden
  • What deer pressure can tell you about your landscape
  • Why a layered protection plan works better than one quick trick
  • How permaculture can help you protect your garden by working with nature, not against it

You will walk away with:

  • A new way to understand deer pressure
  • A simple Deer Pressure Reflection Guide
  • A clearer sense of what your garden may need next
  • An invitation to schedule a free 15-minute Deer Protection Discovery Call if you want site-specific support

This is not a workshop about hating deer or trying to remove them from the landscape.

It is about learning how to protect what you are growing while understanding the larger relationship between deer, plants, people, and place.
