Living Laboratories for State Street Elementary School Grades K-4
Explore the hidden world of bats and discover how these nighttime animals help support healthy ecosystems. Learn how bat pups reconnect with their mothers, investigate ways to protect local bat populations, and venture out on a guided hike to search for suitable bat habitats in nature.
- All students will be bussed to Barlow Nature Preserve from school, and transportation home is available thanks to Westerly Public Schools.
- Program is no cost to families thanks to generous community support.
- A healthy snack is provided at the start of the program.
- Registration closes for fall programs on September 23, 2026
