CARRY THE LIGHT<h2>A Birthday Homegoing Celebration Honoring Keith Mitchell</h2>Friday, July 24, 2026 Doors: 6:45 PM Event Starts: 7:00PM to 9:30 PM Location: To be announced soon (Garland, TX)On what would have been Keith Mitchell’s 52nd birthday, his journey comes full circle as he returns home to the City of Garland the place where his dreams, discipline, and remarkable path first began.Family, friends, former classmates, teammates, loved ones, and members of the Garland community are invited to gather for an unforgettable evening celebrating a life that inspired healing, strength, purpose, and transformation.This meaningful homecoming will also connect Keith’s legacy with the next generation of Lakeview Centennial football players. The same school and community that helped shape Keith’s earliest dreams will now become the place where his story encourages young athletes to pursue excellence, lead with purpose, care for their well-being, and believe in what is possible for their own lives.Carry the Light will be an uplifting, family-friendly homegoing experience filled with music, movement, reflection, laughter, joy, and love. Together, we will honor Keith not only by remembering the extraordinary life he lived, but by carrying forward the light, wisdom, discipline, and encouragement he shared so freely with others.It will be more than a celebration of where Keith’s journey began. It will be a powerful full-circle moment, reminding the next generation that their dreams can begin right here, too.
