Roll for Comedy

Roll for Comedy is where Standup comedy meets Dungeons and Dragons Mechanics.

Forget your typical "let's play" show; instead, we invite you to join the Royal Court and watch standup comedians transform into medieval fantasy versions of themselves, complete with custom D&D classes inspired by their actual comedy styles!

Join us for a hilarious, high-fantasy stand-up adventure tailored for ren faire nerds and fantasy fans alike, where comedians roll the D20 to survive cursed sets, team up for live improv, and battle the big bad to save the show. Stick around for chances to win prizes along the way.

Trigger Warning/Audience Notes -This show contains adult language and themes typical of stand-up comedy. There are optional audience-participation moments, including a final act in which the crowd gets involved. Participation is never required.

The Newport Theater is up a flight of stairs with no elevator, but access to a Genesis portable mobile stairlift (rated up to 400 pounds) is available. Please email newporttheater@gmail.comin advance of your arrival to coordinate entry and sign a waiver (required by our landlord).

There are four single-stall non-gendered restrooms available onsite.
