PSNY's Fourth Annual Masquerade Ball: Bacchanalia

Join The Poetry Society of New York, your favorite artist-led nonprofit, this October for our Fourth Annual Masquerade Ball!

Perhaps Dionysus was onto something when he created wine and a bit of ritual madness. In honor of the masked god and all his luminous frivolity, we’re raising our overflowing chalices to an evening of poetry, libations, celebration, and fundraising for the arts! 

Join The Poetry Society of New York for the Fourth Annual Masquerade Ball: Bacchanalia. This celebration will feature tarot readings, astrology readings, dream interpretations and typewriter poems written just for you. And it wouldn’t be a riotous revelry without performances from renowned poets, drag artists, and burlesque dancers. You can also bid in our live and silent auctions, enjoy an open bar and grazing table, and explore interactive installations, all while supporting PSNY’s mission of bringing accessible, inclusive poetry programming to the public. 

Your donations will raise funds for PSNY’s free-to-attend events, scholarships for workshops, and will put money directly into the hands of working artists.

How It Works

1. Purchase your tokens at the event or in advance.
2. Each token grants access to one of our immersive add-ons.
3. Present your token to the artist, reader, or performer of your choice, and indulge in a one-of-a-kind experience crafted just for you.
4. Collect as many tokens as your heart desires and let the night unfold!

About the Space

Pen + Brush is a 131-year-old publicly supported not-for-profit fighting for gender equity in the arts. P+B provides a platform to showcase the work of women, non-binary and female-identified transgender artists and writers to a broader audience with the ultimate goal of effecting real change within the marketplace. We encourage and mentor emerging professionals and aim to expose the stereotypes and misconceptions that perpetuate gender-based exclusion, lack of recognition and the devaluation of skill that is still experienced by women in the arts. All art work is for sale, 75% of all sales go directly to the artist and 25% comes back in to feed the organization’s work.
