Committee on Children Public Hearing: Charleston
The South Carolina Committee on Children invites you to attend and participate in our Charleston Public Hearing. This hearing provides an opportunity for community members to share their perspectives on the issues affecting South Carolina's children, youth, and families.
We welcome testimony from parents, youth, caregivers, educators, advocates, service providers, and anyone with an interest in improving outcomes for children across our state. Whether you have personal experiences to share, ideas for legislative or policy changes, or concerns about challenges facing children and families, we want to hear from you.
Public input gathered during these hearings helps inform the Committee's work and legislative recommendations to the South Carolina General Assembly. Your voice can help shape policies that strengthen the well-being of children and families throughout South Carolina.
We encourage anyone wishing to testify to register in advance. While walk-in speakers are welcome to sign up at the door, opportunities for same-day registration and testimony are limited and cannot be guaranteed. If you have any questions about the hearing or would like additional information, please email us at ChildrensCommittee@sc.edu.
