As funders who partner with many of these organizations, we know that an organization's greatest asset is its people.
The Leading Forward Series is designed to help develop the knowledge, skills, and leadership perspectives emerging nonprofit professionals need to strengthen their organizations today while preparing for tomorrow's opportunities and challenges.
Please note: To ensure broad participation, registration is limited to three attendees per organization.

Details: Friday, August 28, 2026 - With the help of CliftonStrengths, we'll help emerging leaders discover and apply their unique talents while gaining a greater appreciation for the strengths of others. Participants will: • Deepen understanding of personal strengths & their influence on communication, work style, and leadership. • Explore how strengths can improve team dynamics & work.

Ethical Leadership (Session 2)
Details: Friday, October 23, 2026 - Examine ethical leadership in organizational culture as well as its role in fundraising, collaborative decision-making, and financial controls. Participants will: • Connect ethical leadership to organizational culture, trust, and mission effectiveness, credibility & fundraising. • Review key policies and practices that support ethical leadership, including conflicts of interest, whistleblower protections, codes of conduct, and financial controls.

Navigating the Nonprofit Life Cycle (Session 3)
Details: Friday, January 29, 2027 - This session introduces participants to the nonprofit life cycle and the unique leadership demands associated with each stage of organizational development. Participants will: • Identify and understand the stages of the nonprofit life cycle and the leadership opportunities and challenges associated with each. • Develop anticipation as a leadership skill to support the organization’s strategic work
