Why do tickets cost more than last year?

Hobbit Fest costs more silver pennies this year because we are expanding the adventure with more vendors and more free activities. (more crafts, games, face painting & lots more!)
We’re also investing in accommodations for more guests. Portion of profits will benefit Mars Public Library.

Where do I park?

On site parking is VERY LIMITED. We will have satellite parking at Mars Area Public High School and Mars Area Centennial School with regular shuttles.***To ensure that this event is accessible for all, we ask that only disabled & elderly guests &  guests with children under 1 yr old park on site.***

What time should I arrive?

Shuttles will run regularly between both satellite lots and our property starting at 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. We will start admitting party-goers at 3 p.m., but we expect a big crowd, so we recommend parking before 3 to get to The Shire before the party begins.

Question 4

What is included with tickets?

Accepted Answer

Parking, live music, all activities including face painting, crafts, a photobooth and entry to the Hobbit House & children's garden are included. Food and beverages are not included. Local vendor products & tattoos from Soul Seal Studio are not included.

Question 5

Do I need tickets for kids under 12?

Accepted Answer

Children under 12 enter free. Please select the 'free' ticket for each guest under 12 when buying your tickets on eventbrite, so we know how many little hobbits to expect!

Question 6

Can I buy tickets at the door?

Accepted Answer

Yes, door tickets will be available for $25. We will have separate entry booths for eventbrite ticket-holders and guests buying tickets day-of.

Is there anything I should or shouldn’t bring?

Accepted Answer

Please no outside food or drink besides water.

No bikes or scooters.

No weapons of any kind.
Hobbit inspired attire encouraged!

How long will it take to order  from the cafe?

Accepted Answer

We know some guests experienced long wait times due to high volume at Bloom Cafe last year. This year the cafe will also have a booth outdoors with drinks and snacks, so no hobbits will miss  afternoon tea!

Question 9

Can I bring my pet?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Leashed pets are welcome on our property everywhere except for inside the cafe.

Question 10

Will bathrooms be available?

Accepted Answer

We will have several porta-potties available on-site this year. We also have one gender neutral single-occupancy bathroom in the cafe, and single-occupancy mens' and family/womens' restrooms in the greenhouse.
