CANVASES Austin TX Premiere + Q and A

Canvases was filmed in Nebraska, Texas, and New York spanning 2023-2024 and 2026, and will see its first screenings in September and October ahead of a streaming release early next year after a brief festival run.

VORTEX theater has graciously agreed to host a screening on Sunday OCT 4th so that those involved in the Austin shoot and their friends and supporters can see it live in person.

This is a FREE event but you are encouraged to order drinks and/or popcorn from the venue as a token of appreication. There are food trucks on sight as well, if you want to make dinner part of yours plans.

(there will also be a QR code to my personal venmo projected before and after the film if you are compelled to donate- all proceeds will go toward festival submission and streaming application costs, like captioning)

The film will start at 7:30PM so you are encouraged to arrive around 7-7:15 to find optimal seating and get food/drink.

When the film ends (around 8:45PM) there will be a half hour Q+A (hosted by local filmmaker and DJ Ecco Musica) with any cast/crew in attendance. Ecco will start us off with a few questions and then give the audience a few opportunities to ask something.

The hard cut off time for the event is 9:40PM but you are welcome to skip the Q + A if that is late for you on a Sunday.
