Join our Free Performing Arts Workshop Series

Our Discover the Stage Workshop Series is completely FREE and is designed to prepare students in grades 3-5 for middle school and high school theater programs while helping them build confidence in acting, singing, dancing, auditions, and performance.

How Registration Works

• The first 15 students to register will receive a guaranteed spot for the entire workshop series.
• Once enrolled, your child will automatically be registered for every workshop throughout the year.
• If your child can’t attend a particular workshop, simply cancel your reservation for that event so another student on the waitlist can participate.
• Because our workshops are intentionally kept small to provide hands-on instruction and individual attention, we do have an attendance policy. If a family fails to cancel within 24 hours more than once, they may lose their reserved spot in future workshops.

⭐ Step 1 – Intro to Musical Theatre

September 21 | 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

We’ll introduce students to the world of musical theatre and what to expect throughout the year.

Every participant will receive:

• Intro to the Arts T-shirt
• Audition binder (to use for future productions)
• Pencil case
• Highlighter
• Pencil

🕵🏻‍♀️ Special Student Invitation

October 16 – Murder at the Library Gala

All workshop students are invited to attend our interactive Murder at the Library Gala!

Students will be added to our guest list inand may:

• Attend with one guest for $20, or
• Be dropped off, where they’ll be supervised by our trained youth counselors throughout the evening.

⭐ Step 2 – Audition Prep Workshop

November 16 | 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Students will:

• Learn how to prepare for auditions
• Receive a professional headshot
• Begin building their theatre résumé
• Audition for our Gingerbread Holiday Festival performance

Students perform what they’ve learned during the holiday festival!

🎤Step 3 - Vocal Intensive

December 28th | 10-12

Build your book, pick a song that fits your voice, master harmony and solos!

💃🏻 Dance Intensive

January 26 | 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM

A workshop focused on movement, musical theatre choreography, and dance technique.

🎭Auditioned Mini Musical

March 28

Students will audition for our spring mini musical.

The show title and audition materials will be released by the end of February so everyone has plenty of time to prepare.

End-of-Year Showcase

May 21

Our students will take the stage at Cedar Grove High School for our annual Workshop Showcase!

This special performance also serves as a fundraiser benefiting Cedar Grove Music Matters.
