Yoga for Social Healing in Loving Memory of Kay Woods

Yoga for Social Healing in Loving Memory of Kay Woods

Overview

We join together in movement and community to honor the legacy, mission, and memory of Kay Woods.

Beloved father, friend, and yoga teacher Kay Woods had a vision of creating accessible spaces of healing for all people our community. In the wake of his tragic loss, we are all reminded of how much he gave to us while he was here. Join us on Kay’s birthday as we continue his legacy and the event he created that meant so much to us, Yoga for Social Healing.

On September 6, 2026 from 9am -2pm at Island Park at Century Center, experience multiple donation-based yoga classes, spoken word poetry, outdoor activities for kids, light refreshments and community space holding to honor Kay’s memory.

All are welcome. Registration for classes is free. Donations are not required for entry, but are appreciated. All proceeds from this event will be deposited into the Kaylon Woods Memorial Fund to support his family.

If you are unable to attend this event, please consider donating to our online fundraiser of which all proceeds go to the Kaylon Woods Memorial Fund. Online donations can be made here: https://www.freefunder.com/campaign/kay-woods-memorial-fund
