AI Build Lab: Create Your Own App

AI Build Lab: Create Your Own App

Overview

A hands-on session for leaders to prototype a custom app. No coding required—just bring your challenge.

Build Something That Changes How You Work (and Think)

On Wednesday, September 16, we're bringing together a group of leaders for a hands-on working session designed to move beyond talk and into actual practice.

This is not a lecture. It's a build lab. This session is your chance to get your feet wet with AI in a supportive, low-stakes environment.

Come as an individual or bring your team. You'll take a common work task and begin building a simple, functional AI tool to handle it. Whether you want to simplify a personal workflow or explore a solution for your entire department, this session is for you to play, practice, and see new possibilities for your work.

What to expect:

  • A Hands-On Experience: Learn by doing. You will begin building an interactive interface without needing to write a single line of code.
  • Simple Tools: We will use user-friendly AI platforms that turn your ideas into a visual app you can actually click and navigate.
  • Focused Practice: Dedicated time to try things out, ask questions, and see immediate results in real-time.
  • A Tangible Start: Leave with a working prototype or a clear framework for a tool you can continue to explore after the session.

We focus on the logic of your solution, keeping the technical side simple so you can focus on solving the primary challenge.

Come prepared with:

  • A Task to Improve: One workflow or "to-do" that you think AI could help simplify.
  • The Basics: A baseline familiarity with AI prompting (like using ChatGPT).
  • The Essentials: A fully charged laptop, along with access to an LLM (such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, or Copilot). This is a hands-on session, and power outlets may be limited.
